We have poured our hearts into a two-year historic preservation project to
repurpose the former fish hatchery building in Riverside Park which has been commonly
referred to as “the crown jewel” of our city. As emerging developers, we have been told
that all eyes are on us! We hope our vision is something our community will
be proud of and enjoy for many years to come. This beautiful building now
offers an intimate 6 room boutique hotel in the upper level – each named
and themed with a historical fairytale character commissioned from a French
artist, a venue space with a replicated 1946 antique backbar & lounge on the
main level, an outdoor patio, and a vintage garage bar.
These spaces have been meticulously preserved and artfully curated. Our
vision was to create a truly unique experience that balances the past with the
present. We hope you find this space and our staff to be an expression of our
passions and love for the city of La Crosse.

THE EUGENE
This corner king room is the epitome of whimsical luxury. Featuring five large paned windows, The Eugene offers lovely views of Riverside Park and the International Friendship Gardens below. The original white oak flooring, exposed brick, and our moody vintage butterfly wallpaper maintain the historic integrity and charm of this room.
When you’re ready to cozy up for the night, simply pull our velvet blackout drapery to cocoon yourself from the outside world. Our handcrafted, made in the USA, plush mattress and soft fabrics are sure to provide the perfect level of comfort for a restful night sleep, a top priority for every one of our guests.

THE JEAN DE LA FONTAINE
Designed to inspire rest and relaxation, our Jean de La Fontaine king room creates a feeling of opulence and turns on the charm. Whether solo travelers or couples, guests of this room enjoy turning on a blues or jazz record and watching people stroll through Riverside Park. Original southern yellow heart pine flooring, exposed brick, and three large paned windows maintain the historic integrity and charm of this room.
When you decide it’s time to turn in for the night, simply pull our blackout blinds down and forget about the outside world. Our handcrafted plush mattress and soft fabrics are sure to provide the perfect level of comfort for a restful night sleep.

Whether solo travelers or couples, guests of this room enjoy their own private library of books in our custom-made bookshelf repurposed from the building’s original staircase, re-finished southern yellow heart pine flooring, exposed brick, and two large paned windows.

THE RODOLPHE
The Rodolphe, our only Double-Queen suite, is our expression of a bygone era of regal elegance showcased through our gallery art wall. This room also features plush pillow top mattresses, original southern yellow heart pine flooring, vintage rugs, and a large paned window overlooking the gardens below. Soft fabrics and rich textures bring a traditional grace to this suite, enveloping you in the comforts of home.

CHATTERTON
The Chatterton, our corner king room, features a luxurious king bed, with the finest quality linens, to wrap you in comfort. This is our lightest and brightest room – featuring regal wood paneled walls in the perfect vintage white hue, maple wood floors, and large paned windows overlooking the park and river below. This room is a photographer’s dream for capturing those classic monochromatic wedding photos.

THE TASSI
Allow this corner king room, known as The Tassi, to transport you back to a time of regal nautical sophistication! This room has the very best sunset view of the confluence - or as the locals say - where the three rivers meet! Guests will enjoy watching the La Crosse Queen, one of the few remaining modern-day replicas of grand river paddlewheel boats that plied the Mississippi River in the early 1900s, as it docks just
outside and cruises in and out of Riverside Park daily.

DESIGN DETAILS
A restful night sleep for every one of our guests is our top priority. So, while we hope
you appreciate our original hardwood flooring and the care we used to repair and
expose the original brick, what we’re equally excited are the details you won’t see.
We’ve constructed our guest room walls with double-wide walls and high-performance
windows and coverings to minimize noises from inside and outside the hotel. We have
also installed dual heating and ventilation systems to ensure adequate personalized
climate control, in addition to aesthetically beautiful and fully operable historic radiators
in each room to ensure comfort in every one of our Midwest seasons!
